LEND, BORROW, OWE.


Theory:

LEND, BORROW and OWE are used to describe when two people exchange something for a limited time.

My friend and I go to McDonalds, and I realise I have no money.
He gives me 10€ on condition I give them back tomorrow.
so,
I BORROW 10€ from him.
He LENDS me 10€.
I OWE him 10€ until I pay him back.

The person in possession does the BORROWING.
The owner does the LENDING.
The person in possession OWES the owner until the item is returned.

Typical PET Transformations:

My cousin has lent me a very good tent.
