ANOTHER, OTHER, THE OTHER

Theory:

The words ANOTHER, OTHER and THE OTHER are very similar and cause confusion.

ANOTHER is used with SINGULAR, nonspecific, countable nouns.
For example:
I'd like ANOTHER beer.

OTHER is used with PLURAL or UNCOUNTABLE, nonspecific nouns.
For example:
I like her but OTHER people don't.

Both OTHER and ANOTHER are used for NON SPECIFIC NOUNS, which means the speaker doesn't care which one he gets, he just wants another beer( singular) , or other music (not countable) or other clothes (plural).

For SPECIFIC NOUNS, THE OTHER is used.
For example:
I don't like this bar. THE OTHER bar (specific) was better.

It can be used for singular, plural or not countable nouns.
For example:
I want THE OTHER chair (singular), I bought THE OTHER shoes (plural), or I hate THE OTHER milk (uncountable).
