REGRET,I WISH I HAD, I SHOULD HAVE, IF ONLY, IT'S SUCH A PITY

Theory:

There are several ways of expressing REGRET, that feeling that you could have done something differently, possibly with better results.
Example:
I WISH I HAD studied more for that exam.
IF ONLY I HAD studied more.
IT'S SUCH A PITY I didn't study more
I SHOULD HAVE studied more.

Three forms above use HAVE or HAD which is the PRESENT PERFECT or the PAST PERFECT.
These forms can only be used with the PAST PARTICIPLE, (the third column value of the verb: eat, ate, EATEN)
