HARDLY, HARDLY EVER, HARDLY ANY


Theory:

HARDLY is used to mean nearly nothing, and BARELY is a synonym.
EXAMPLE: I could HARDLY walk.
This means I could barely walk, or that my ability to walk was nearly negligible or zero.

HARDLY is often used with EVER to give HARDLY EVER.
HARDLY EVER means nearly never.
EXAMPLE: I HARDLY EVER drink beer, or I nearly never drink beer.

HARDLY is also often used with ANY to give HARDLY ANY.
HARDLY ANY means nearly nothing.
EXAMPLE: I have HARDLY ANY money in my pocket, or I have nearly no money in my pocket.

HARDLY ANY is used to transform very little, or almost none.
Given THERE IS ALMOST NO PETROL LEFT IN THE CAR.
This is transformed into:
THERE IS HARDLY ANY PETROL LEFT IN THE CAR.

Transform the following sentences using the key words given.
